Fresh and Fearless

Fear-Free Grooming

Ready for a clean and happy dog?

Why the grooming evaluation?

We approach grooming a little differently. We believe that all dogs deserve a peaceful, positive experience at the groomer’s salon. That looking good, smelling wonderful and living mat-free is important, but that your dog’s emotional well-being comes first. Your dog will thank you.

Whether your dog is afraid of nail trims, bathing, clipping, or the blow dryer - or totally comfortable with all of it - we can help!

But we meet with all new clients first to assess their grooming history, determine where their fears might be, what your goals are, and map out a plan.

What if your dog hates grooming or nail trims?

Grooming in general - and nail trims especially - can be stressful for pets and their families. After your dog returns from the groomer, are they withdrawn? Do they get diarrhea? Do they hate to return to the building or cry excessively when dropped off?

These are common signs that your dog finds something about the process very frightening.

It may seem farfetched to think that your dog can love having his nails trimmed, or love baths and haircuts. We’re different than many other groomers because we train dogs to be comfortable with the process (while getting you the outcome).

We play the long game. Once your dog loves being groomed, you can either maintain his coat and nails at home or schedule short maintenance sessions with us.

Stress-free, fear-free. No restraint!

Why choose a Fear-Free Certified Groomer?

Grooming can be a traumatic experience for pets, especially if they are afraid of new people, implements, or restraint. Cooperative care training takes all of this into account. And while our service can take a bit longer than traditional groomers, we prioritize your pet’s emotional and mental well-being during every session.

Our promise to you and your dog is that they will never feel uncomfortable or afraid in our care.
